آنچه در این مطلب میخوانید

در اولین بخش صحبت کردن این درس شما باید چهار عبارت در مورد عادات غیر معمول یا جالب تان بنویسید و سپس در مورد آن با دیگران صحبت کنید.

A: I eat chocolate all the time.
B: Does that mean you eat it every day?
A: Well, no, not every day. I mean I have chocolate several times a week.

الف: من همیشه شکلات می خورم.
ب: یعنی شما هر روز آن را می خورید؟
الف: خوب، نه، هر روز نیست. یعنی چند بار در هفته شکلات می خورم.

A: I’ve been to a wrestling match.
B: Really? Who did you go with?

الف: من به یک مسابقه کشتی رفته ام.
ب: واقعا؟ با کی رفتی؟

Student A
A- Ask your partner these questions.
1- Have you ever been on TV? [If yes, ask:] When and why?
2- Has your family ever moved to a new city? [If yes, ask:] When and where?
3- Have you ever tried an extreme sport? [If yes, ask:] What sport?
4- Have you ever ridden a roller coaster? [If yes, ask:] Did you like it?

B- Now answer your partner’s questions.

C- Read Marty’s email to Steve. Answer your partner’s questions.

D- Now ask your partner these questions about Steve’s email to Marty. (Use the present perfect
or the simple past.)

1- _ (Steve / see) Marty on TV last month?

2- _ (Steve / ever / have) an embarrassing moment? What happened?

3- Where _ (he / find) his things?

4- _ (his wife / be) upset? Why?

Student B
A Answer your partner’s questions.

B- Now ask your partner these questions.

[If yes, ask:] Who and where?
2- Has your best friend ever won an award?
[If yes, ask:] What was the award for?
3- Have you ever climbed a mountain?
[If yes, ask:] Which one?
4- Have you ever eaten any exotic food?
[If yes, ask:] What? Did you like it / them?

C- Ask your partner these questions about Marty’s email to Steve. (Use the present perfect or the simple past.)

3- _ (Marty’s friends / ever / see) him on TV? When?

4- _ (they / think) it was amusing? Why? What happened?

D- Now read Steve’s email to Marty. Answer your partner’s questions.

4- Did they think it was amusing? Why? What happened?

Student A’s answers- Sample answers:
1- No, he hasn’t.
2- No, he wasn’t (but his painting and name were on TV).
3- Yes, some of them have. They saw him on the ten o’clock news last month.
4- Yes, they did. They thought it was amusing because Marty ran into an actor and a TV reporter.

D- Student A’s questions
1- Did Steve see Marty on TV last month?
2- Has Steve ever had an embarrassing moment? What happened?
3- Where did he find his things?
4- Was his wife upset? Why?

Student B’s answers- Sample answers:
1- No, he didn’t.
2- Yes, he has. He “lost” his wallet, keys, and cell phone (and was late for a job interview).
3- He found them in his jacket.
4- Yes, she was. She was upset because he was late for a job interview, and he didn’t get the job.
